Drama

Its that time of year again! Had to take Kylie to the doctor today and she has a sinus infection that is affecting her left ear. Talk about drama! Todd and I picked her up from school early because they called us to tell us she was complaining about her ear. When we picked her up she was all smiles until Todd asked her about her ear. Then she laid it on thick! Pouting and whining, telling us she needed medicine! She continued with this for the next few hours. I took her into the pediatrician, she cried the whole time, until we left and she got a sucker and has been fine since. She is definitely not well, but man she laid it on thick!
Maya had a long night last night or rather I had a long night with Maya. She has her first little cold and is having a hard time breathing through her nose so she is waking up frequently. Hopefully tonight will be a better night.
This evening I went to answer the phone, talked for just a minute, turned around and Kylie has unsnapped Maya's sleeper! She decided Maya had a "gucky" diaper and it needed to be changed. She is such a little mommy! She wanted to feed Maya a bottle last night, I convinced her to feed her baby doll instead:)

Maya rolled over

It seems like she was just born this week, but little Maya rolled over from front to back today! She is 11 weeks old already. She is grinning ear to ear and cooing up a storm. Kylie on her way to bed tonight, walked by Maya who was lying on the floor in the boppie, leaned over gave her a kiss on the forehead and said "a nu"- translated 'love you'... Talk about melting my heart! Kylie is such a sweet child, a very tender heart. I am beginning to get a glimpse of them interacting, I am excited to see them grow up together.

Maya 2 month check up

Maya had her 2 month well check this week at the doctor. She was actually 11 weeks, but these were her stats..
Weight: 11lbs 7oz ( she has gained 4.5 lbs since birth)
Height: 22.5 inches ( she has grown 4 inches since birth)
Head: 15.5 inches ( her head has grown 2.5 inches since birth)
All were in about the 50th percentile!

Life with a 2 year old..

Today has been "one of those days"!!!It started of easy enough.. Kylie slept in until almost 8am (which is unheard of), she actually ate breakfast, and took a bath like a champ.Then life with a 2 year old started.. first she got ahold of my face lotion and decided to rub it all over her teddy bear's butt! Mind you the lotion is brand new and $36 a tube! Then while playing quietly in her room, she today of all days decided to learn that you can push a chair over to the dresser stand up on it and get what you want off of the shelf. So every baby doll now has a powdered rear along with most of the carpet. Oh did I mention the 150 or so hair do things she spread about the room and the new box of wipes that she emptied?! After getting dressed, I sat down to nurse Maya and she came in and informed me of a "spill", never a good sign when she walks in stark naked. The same chair she had already figured out how to move, is back next to the dresser soaking wet! She had pee'd on it and then wiped it onto the floor. I am not sure what she was looking for on the dresser bc she already had emptied it onto the floor the first go round, I had not picked it up yet. So we now have powder, wipes, and hair things covered with pee!So it is now time to get out of the house before I lose it, get home nursing Maya again, and I notice it is quiet, uh oh, she now has a tube of hydrocortisone cream smeared all over her. Well, I guess she wont be itching tonight!! Finally, she is eating dinner, I am cooking dinner for myself.. she tells me she is "swimming" what??? She poured her milk on the table and tells me she is swimming.. ok I am done!!! Oh did I mention I only had about 3.5 hours of sleep last night. As bad as this sounds I really do watch my kid. Boy a margarita sounds good about now!
